Consultation

This about getting to know you and your project. By understanding your desired outcomes, we can set the compass in the right direction and build from there.

During consultation we’ll have you walk us through your brand, project objectives and ideal budget. This foundational understanding helps set the project in motion.

We’ll arrange for a site visit to ensure you are starting off with the most viable space option – a feasibility study – which can be especially helpful prior to purchasing. If your initial plan is not the best option, we can offer to locate and provide a budget on workable spaces prior to getting too far into the design and logistics. We want to ensure we are matching your objectives with reality.

The consultation phase also allows us to consider the team we will build to deliver on the project, everything from architects and designers down to electricians and plumbers. In this step we’ll also determine permitting requirements and other vital details to move into the next steps.

Design

We can take the lead on providing design services and work with several recognized firms that will help visualize your project plans. If you have a design package already established, we can work with your preferred consultants to bring the plan to life.

This step is about working through the design intent and ensuring it can be achieved within the established budget. The right team of designers, architects, decorators and consultants is at our fingertips, and together we will tailor your design to the venue, establishing the best concept and plans.

Leading Edge can also manage design intent. Foundational to this – and one of our strengths – is offering innovative techniques that ensure design and budget are cohesive without significant compromise to the design’s integrity. We identify issues with a solutions-based approach – it’s fundamental to how we work.

Pre-Construction

With the design signed off, this step is about building the internal plan and project team, and tendering to sub-trades – in short, it’s about ensuring the project is ready to kick-off for the construction phase.

The following steps are integral to this phase:

  • Solidifying permits for smooth workflow
  • Managing insurance and bonding
  • Providing accurate and competitive cost-estimating
  • Tendering to our extensive list of pre-qualified trades
  • Value engineering is done throughout the project to optimize your investment
  • Establishing a detailed schedule and holding our team accountable to the milestones and timelines identified
  • Administration using a cloud-based project management software to keep each project organized with readily accessible information

Construction
